The Office of Risk and Benefits Management is dedicated to providing premier risk management solutions for the nation’s fourth largest school district.  The office strives to insulate the Board and taxpayers from risk of loss while promoting the health and well being of employees and students.  As part of this mission, the Office of Risk and Benefits Management:

• Develops insurance and self-insurance programs covering liability, workers’ compensation and property
• Administers a comprehensive fringe benefits program including health, life, disability, legal, dental and vision coverage
• Implements student accident and football accident insurance to provide a mechanism to pay for medical and dental treatment when needed, as a result of an accident
• Maximizes the use of public funds for direct classroom instruction
